Gaston Legrand - Vintage 2000 - Bas Armagnac - 40%
The Maison Lhéraud is located at the Lasdoux estate, situated in the commune of Angeac, in the prestigious Cognac appellation at the heart of the Charentes. Founded in 1860, it owes its reputation to Alexandre Lhéraud, a pioneer in vine cultivation in his family garden. Today, the estate covers 85 hectares of vineyards spread over two of the six emblematic crus of Cognac, with a remarkable predominance of Petite Champagne, renowned for the finesse of its eaux-de-vie. The Lhéraud family owns 5 traditional cellars made of blonde Charente stone, where Limousin oak barrels ensure optimal natural aging, essential for developing the aromatic richness and complexity of their spirits.
Furthermore, from Lannepax, in the Gers, Maison Lhéraud expands its expertise by producing an exceptional range of Armagnacs under the renowned brand Baron Gaston Legrand. These Armagnacs are made from simple distillation, faithful to tradition, of dry white wines from the authentic terroir of Ténarèze, produced in a unique column still. This traditional method ensures remarkable quality and an unparalleled taste identity, embodying the excellence of French spirits.
