Gaston Legrand - Vintage 1973 - Bas Armagnac - 40%
The Maison Lhéreaud is located at the Lasdoux estate, situated in the charming commune of Angeac in the Cognac appellation, in the heart of the Charentes, a region renowned for its exceptional spirits. Founded in 1860, it owes its origin to Alexandre Lhéreaud, the family pioneer who planted the first vines in his family garden. Today, this prestigious estate covers 85 hectares of meticulously maintained vineyards, spread over two of the six great crus of Cognac, with a predominance in the renowned Petite Champagne.
The Lhéreaud family also owns five traditional cellars made of blonde Charente stone, housing Limousin oak barrels that promote natural and slow aging, thus guaranteeing the complexity and finesse of the eaux-de-vie. From Lannepax, in the Gers, Maison Lhéreaud passionately produces an extensive range of Armagnacs under the famous Baron Gaston Legrand appellation. These unique Armagnacs result from a simple, respectful distillation of dry white wines from the exceptional terroir of Ténarèze, carried out in a traditional column still, ensuring optimal quality and unparalleled aromatic richness.
