Born in Bologna, Italy, Silvano Samaroli, visionary and founder of the prestigious house, launched his activity in 1968 by selecting and bottling some of the rarest and most exclusive whiskies in the world. From the start, he distinguished himself as a pioneer, becoming the first independent bottler outside the United Kingdom, recognized for his high standards and unique expertise. In the 1990s, the Samaroli house expanded its expertise to rum: Silvano set out in search of the most renowned and rare distilleries to find the best casks, which he then imported to Scotland. The Scottish climate, with its ideal conditions, allows for slow and controlled aging, giving the rums rich and complex aromas.
In 2008, Antonio Bleve, a passionate long-time collaborator sharing the same philosophy as Silvano, took over the reins of this institution. Supported by a network of rum and whisky experts, Antonio continued exploring exceptional casks thanks to the historical heritage and new alliances of the House. Under his direction, in-depth research on blending continued, finely combining the finesse of aged spirits with the vigor of younger ones, thus recreating the authentic soul of whisky. An innovative technique involves re-aging these whiskies or rums in new casks, bringing a unique depth and intensity far beyond what classic Single Malts offer.
Samaroli elevates both Single Malts and rums in exceptional single casks, rigorously selected for their unique character and aromatic richness.
