GLENFARCLAS - 12 years - 43%
The Glenfarclas distillery is ideally located in Ballindalloch, in the heart of the prestigious Speyside region in Scotland, famous for its refined and iconic whiskies. Founded well before 1791, this historic distillery obtained its official license in 1836 under the wise leadership of Robert Hay. On June 8, 1865, it was acquired by John Grant, and since then, it has remained a genuine family business, proudly managed by his descendants, thus ensuring a unique tradition and expertise passed down from generation to generation.
In 2007, Glenfarclas innovated with the launch of The Family Casks, an exclusive collection of 43 rare Single Cask bottlings, including an annual edition from 1952 to 1994. This prestigious range extended up to 2001; however, the distillery no longer has stocks of casks dating from 1952 and 1953, thereby increasing the rarity and value of these exceptional vintages.
The Glenfarclas 12 years is carefully aged in Oloroso Sherry casks, giving this whisky remarkable richness and complexity. Its aromatic profile is generous and rounded, revealing intense fruity notes from the sherry, offering a balanced sweetness and a persistent finish, ideal for lovers of smooth and elegant single malts.
