The Neisson Distillery, located in Carbet in Martinique, is a symbol of exceptional agricole rum. Founded in 1932 by the Neisson brothers, it is based on ancestral know-how passed down through generations. Jean Neisson, a chemical engineer by training, dedicated his life to perfecting distillation methods. Today, his descendants Claudine and her son Grégory continue this tradition of excellence. Committed to exemplary sustainable development, the distillery began a transition to rigorous organic farming in 2013. In 2016, it launched the first organic AOC Martinique rum, cultivated on over 40 hectares of land worked in perfect harmony with nature. Thanks to years of research, Neisson uses its own strains of indigenous yeasts, carefully selected from those naturally present on the cane, thus ensuring rare authenticity and aromatic complexity. The thoughtful choice of crop varieties, optimized irrigation to preserve water, and ecological treatment of effluents contribute to the respectful and sustainable production of agricole rums of exceptional quality, in full balance with the natural ecosystem of the Neisson lands.
