The renowned Caroni Distillery was founded in 1918 in the state of Trinidad & Tobago (The Trinity), a true historic cradle of quality rum. This state-owned distillery had its own sugar mill, ensuring a constant supply of exceptional raw materials thanks to the local cultivation of premium sugarcane. Equipped with a complete and sophisticated range of stills, including column and pot stills, Caroni established itself as an iconic distillery, long surrounded by mystery and secrecy. Their rare rums, seldom bottled under their own label, reveal a unique aromatic profile with powerful notes of hydrocarbons, sweet spices, and melting honey. Unfortunately, the distillery closed its doors in 2002 due to a major crisis in the local sugar industry. Since then, the rarity and originality of these Caroni rums have granted them an almost mythical status among connoisseurs and collectors.
Balas "Brigade" Bhaggan, having dedicated 14 years to the distillery, signs here an exclusive selection. This limited batch of six barrels was entirely aged in Trinidad & Tobago, guaranteeing unmatched authenticity and aromatic richness.
