The Domaine Chiroulet is nestled in the heart of Gers, a region emblematic of Armagnac terroirs, within the rich Gascogne wine region. Founded in 1893, this family estate initially covered 5 hectares dedicated to mixed farming and livestock. Alban Sourbès, winemaker and master distiller, endured the phylloxera crisis and managed the estate until 1935, thus consolidating the reputation of this exceptional house. Passed on to his niece Suzanne Capmartin, then carried forward by her husband Albert Fezas, the estate planned an expansion before the constraints imposed by World War II. Today, under the direction of his grandson, the passionate Philippe Fezas, Domaine Chiroulet expresses its full potential by diversifying its activities and adopting a sustainable model.
The estate is undergoing a full transition to organic farming, a major step that confirms its deep environmental commitment. This green shift is accompanied by an innovative agroforestry project, aimed at strengthening local biodiversity around the vineyards. This beneficial ecological approach reintegrates biomass into vineyard soils, promotes natural regulation of beneficial insects, and contributes to microclimate balance, ensuring superior quality grapes while preserving ecosystem health. The Floc de Gascogne Blanc is the authentic expression of this unique Gascon terroir. This exceptional product results from the careful blending of fresh juice from typical grape varieties such as Colombard, Ugni Blanc, Gros Manseng, and Petit Manseng (representing two-thirds of the blend), combined with one-third of the estate's Blanche d’Armagnac, offering a perfect balance between sweetness and character. This refined cuvée is aged for several months in old oak casks, giving it a unique aromatic complexity marked by fruity notes and a beautiful length on the palate.
