Cognac Jean Luc Pasquet - Pineau des Charentes Blanc - 18%
The Cognac House Pasquet, rooted at the place called Chez Ferchaud-Eraville in Bellevigne in the Charente region, is synonymous with excellence and authenticity. Founded in 1970 when Jean-Luc Pasquet took over his uncle Albert's family estate, the property initially covered 8 hectares of vines planted in Grande and Petite Champagne, the most prestigious crus of the region. Today, the estate has expanded to 14 hectares, rigorously cultivated under certified organic farming since 1995, a guarantee of environmental respect and superior quality. Thanks to their traditional 20-hectoliter still, the House carries out a meticulous double distillation to extract eaux-de-vie of remarkable finesse, which are then aged for a minimum of 4 years in oak barrels, two years longer than the required regulation, thus ensuring optimal richness and aromatic complexity. The company is now led by Jean Pasquet and his wife Amy, originally from the United States, bringing an international breath to this ancestral cognac house.
This exceptional Pineau des Charentes Blanc is made from a skillful blend of carefully selected grape juice from the vineyard and organic cognac eau-de-vie, reflecting an authentic and preserved terroir. Composed equally of Ugni Blanc (50%) and Montils (50%), two emblematic grape varieties of the region, grown on a rich clay-limestone terroir, this fortified wine benefits from aging in oak barrels for 30 months, which gives it depth, elegance, and a subtle balance between freshness and roundness. This white Pineau perfectly illustrates the expertise and passion that characterize the products of Clos des Spiritueux, a privileged partner offering our clients high-quality spirits and wines, combining tradition and innovation for a unique and unforgettable tasting experience.
