Pig's Nose - The Islay Pig - Islay Casks Finish - 43%
\nPig's Nose is a prestigious brand of Scottish blended whisky, owned since 2016 by the famous family company Ian Macleod. The first bottling of Pig's Nose dates back to 1977, originally conceived as a young 4-year-old blend, created by a farmer and pub manager who wanted to offer an alternative to his local brand, Sheep Dip. Located in Oldbury on Severn, this pub allowed Pig's Nose to gradually develop, notably establishing itself at Fortnum & Mason, the renowned London department store specializing in luxury products. The brand also managed to conquer international markets, notably American, Canadian, and New Zealand. In 1993, Pig's Nose and Sheep Dip were acquired by Invergordon Distillers, later integrated into Whyte & Mackay. In 2005, under the leadership of Alex Nicol, then operations director, the brands left Whyte & Mackay to join Spencerfield Spirits Company, a company founded in Fife alongside his wife Jane. Until Spencerfield Spirits was bought by Ian Macleod Distillers at the end of 2016, the blend was crafted by Whyte & Mackay's renowned master blender, Richard Paterson.
