Founded in 1824 by Henri Delamain, grandson of James Delamain, an Irish merchant who arrived in Cognac in 1759, the Delamain House has embodied a unique expertise and a perpetual quest for excellence for several generations. The successive owners, with diverse backgrounds blending archaeology, ornithology, history, literature, humanism, and botany, have infused each Cognac with unique richness and rare authenticity. This open vision on natural and human sciences helps reveal exceptional Cognacs, recognized worldwide. For over 20 years, the renowned Bollinger family has led the Delamain House, ensuring continuity and modernity. The precious eaux-de-vie are carefully orchestrated by the talented Dominique Touteau, Cellar Master, guaranteeing optimal quality of the blends.
The Pléiade collection symbolizes the ultimate refinement of Delamain Cognacs. Each bottle comes from a single harvest, a single vineyard, and a single barrel, guaranteeing unmatched purity and uniqueness. Subjected to slow reduction, without added sweeteners or colorants, these Cognacs reveal their most authentic expression. Produced in limited series, the Pléiade collection is divided into three sub-collections, each defined by the exceptional age and maturity of the eaux-de-vie.
This exclusive edition belongs to the Plénitude collection. This Grande Champagne Cognac, of rare finesse, comes from a unique barrel (#250-2) that produced only 355 bottles, a true treasure for connoisseurs. The traditional distillation on fine lees took place in 1991, followed by careful aging in a 350-liter red oak barrel, allowing the Cognac to develop its complex aromas and exceptional depth. This exceptional vintage was bottled in February 2021, ready to offer an unforgettable sensory experience.
