Lillet Rosé - 17%
Lillet is an iconic wine-based aperitif, carefully crafted in Podensac, in the heart of the prestigious Bordeaux region. Founded in 1872, the Lillet Frères company, renowned liquorist and wine and spirits merchant, draws its originality from the unique combination of Bordeaux wines with exotic plants and fruits. This innovative idea comes from Father Kermann, a doctor who traveled to Brazil under Louis XVI before returning to settle in Bordeaux, where he developed exclusive liqueurs and tonics mainly based on quinine. In 1985, the Lillet family passed the company to Bruno Borie, and in 2008, it joined the large Pernod Ricard family, thus becoming part of a major global player in wines and spirits.
Lillet is made from rigorously selected wines (85%) blended with fruit and quinine liqueurs (15%) carefully crafted. These liqueurs come from a prolonged maceration in alcohol of carefully chosen citrus peels, such as sweet orange from Morocco or Spain, and bitter orange from Haiti or Peru, thus providing an incomparable aromatic richness. The whole is rested and refined according to tradition in selected oak barrels, ensuring exceptional quality and complexity.
Lillet Rosé, launched in 2011, is a refined creation harmoniously blending delicate white wines with infusions of fresh citrus, invigorating quinine, and luscious red fruits. This fresh and elegant rosé is ideally enjoyed in sophisticated cocktails or lengthened with sparkling tonic, perfect for a convivial and trendy aperitif.
