GLENALLACHIE - 10 years - Cask Strength - Batch 8 - 57.2%
The GlenAllachie is an iconic distillery located in Aberlour, in the heart of the famous Speyside region in Scotland. Founded in 1967, it began production in February 1968 with an impressive capacity of nearly three million liters of alcohol per year. After a period of inactivity starting in 1985, Campbell Distillers, a future member of the Pernod Ricard group, relaunched production on April 24, marking the beginning of 29 continuous years of excellence. Nicknamed The Home of Clan Campbell Whisky, the distillery has built a solid reputation. In 2005, Chivas Brothers expanded its range by launching a GlenAllachie Single Malt in the prestigious Cask Edition series. Since 2017, Billy Walker, Trisha Savage, and Graham Stevenson joined forces to buy the distillery and create The GlenAllachie Distillers Company Limited, bringing more than a century of combined expertise, synonymous with innovation and exceptional quality in the whisky world.
The GlenAllachie Cask Strength Batch 8 is an exceptional 10-year-old whisky, crafted from a unique blend of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, enhanced by a touch of virgin oak casks as well as casks that previously held wine from the renowned Rioja region in Spain. This meticulous aging offers the whisky a rare aromatic complexity, blending rich and velvety notes of dried fruits, soft spices, and subtle woody nuances.
