BOLOGNE - White Rum - 1 Litre Version - 50%
The Bologne Distillery is located in Guadeloupe, an exceptional land for producing high-quality agricultural rums. Active since 1887, it draws its name from the history of the former owners of the sugar factory situated on the fertile and volcanic slopes of La Soufrière. The Bologne family, of Protestant origin, left France during the religious wars, migrated to Holland, then settled from 1580 in Brazil, then a Dutch colony, to cultivate sugar cane. Forced to leave Brazil and then Martinique, the Bologne family arrived in Guadeloupe in 1654, where they founded this estate. Over the centuries, the Bologne sugar factory has endured historical vicissitudes, notably related to the French Revolution and local economic transformations. It was in 1930, under the visionary leadership of Louis Sargenton-Callarden, that the estate specialized in the production of authentic Agricultural Rum, respecting Guadeloupean tradition. This 50% white rum, crafted with expertise, embodies the excellence and unique character of the Guadeloupean terroir.
