Cognac CAMUS - Port Cask Finish - Small Batch - 43.2%
Camus is a prestigious, independent, and family-owned Cognac House located in the heart of the exceptional terroir of the Borderies since 1863. Founded by the visionary Jean-Baptiste Camus, this iconic House is today led by the fifth generation, Cyril Camus, ensuring the continuity of a unique and authentic know-how. Since the late 19th century, Camus has distinguished itself by exporting its Cognac to England, laying the foundations for international success. In the 20th century, the House expanded its exports to all of Europe and even to Eastern territories, becoming the official Cognac of the court of Tsar Nicholas II. Camus passionately cultivates 180 hectares of vineyards and holds the largest plots among all producers in the Borderies cru. Its exceptional eau-de-vie is crafted from a meticulous blend of noble grape varieties: Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, and Colombard, which provide finesse, complexity, and elegance.
The second exclusive edition of Camus Port Cask Finish is a rare limited edition, carefully aged in old Tawny Port casks selected for their superior quality, which bring richness, depth, and unique fruity nuances. Bottled at a high barrel strength of 43.2%, this cuvée reveals remarkable aromatic intensity. The distillation is carried out in traditional and confidential 2,500-liter stills, where the preservation of lees allows for optimal extraction of aromas while maintaining the original freshness of the Cognac. This edition embodies the excellence and boldness of Camus's craftsmanship.
