SULLIVANS COVE - Double Cask - 40%
The Sullivans Cove Distillery was established in 1994 at its original location in the old brickworks of Sullivans Cove, making it the second oldest whisky distillery in Tasmania, a region renowned for its exceptional premium whiskies. In 2004, the distillery moved to its current site in Cambridge, where the current master distiller, Patrick Maguire, passionately oversees the distillation and rigorous cask selection. Initially, Sullivans Cove's fame was modest, but from 1999, under the direction of a committed new owner, the whisky quality saw a spectacular improvement. From 2007, Sullivans Cove began its rise to international recognition, culminating in 2014 when the French Oak cask HH0525 was crowned the best single malt whisky in the world at the prestigious World Whiskies Awards, thus confirming the distillery's honored place among the global whisky elite.
Sullivans Cove Double Cask is carefully aged in a unique and harmonious combination of French and American oak casks, allowing a subtle balance of woody, fruity, and vanilla flavors that delight the most demanding Tasmanian whisky enthusiasts.
