Hampden - Ex Bourbon Single Cask 41 <>H - Vintage 2010 - 69.20%
The historical origins of the Jamaican distillery Hampden date back to 1684, when it belonged to Thomas Goddard. Since 2009, this iconic distillery has been acquired by the Hussey family (Everglades Farms Ltd.), thus reinforcing its traditional heritage. Today, with nearly 5600 hectares of sustainably grown sugarcane, the rums of Hampden Rhum Company are recognized among the most authentic and prestigious in Jamaica. Their production respects an ancestral know-how with distillation in heavy pot rum — a style of heavy and very aromatic rum, rich in natural esters, which gives the rums a complex and unique aromatic palette.
Fermentations take place thanks to indigenous yeasts in spontaneous fermentation, in a historic warehouse equipped with traditional equipment still used today, guaranteeing exceptional quality and authenticity according to artisanal methods inherited over several centuries.
This exceptional bottle, in a very limited edition of only 170 copies, is a single cask cask strength rum at 69.20% alcohol!
