Located in the heart of the majestic Japanese Alps, the Shinshu distillery was founded in 1985, embodying the excellence and tradition of Japanese whisky. After a period of inactivity, it brilliantly resumed production in 2011, offering sober and remarkable editions such as "Mars The Revival 2011" and "Mars Komagatake Sherry & American White Oak 2011." Cosmo, although not a single malt, is an exceptional blended malt, subtly combining Mars whiskies and prestigious Scottish single malts. This whisky reveals a wonderfully oxidative and extroverted character, combining deep maturity with the vibrant energy of its youth, demonstrating a remarkable and refined art of blending.

Sensory profile: a fine and heady tasting experience. Dominated by delicate notes of kirsch and Williams pear, it opens with a slightly vanilla malt. The palate then unfolds with complex fruity aromas of red and black fruits, such as raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry. Its mineral expression evokes rocky landscapes, with nuances of schist and slate, while freshly cut grass and peppermint bring a refreshing liveliness. An exceptional whisky to discover and savor.
