The GlenAllachie is an iconic distillery located in Aberlour, in the heart of the famous Speyside region in Scotland. Founded in 1967, this distillery began production in February 1968 with an impressive capacity of about three million liters of alcohol. After a dormancy period in 1985, it was taken over by Campbell Distillers, which later became a branch of Pernod Ricard, restarting production from April 24, marking a lasting return with 29 years of continuous operation. Nicknamed The Home of Clan Campbell Whisky, it has secured a prominent place in the world of prestigious whiskies. In 2005, Chivas Brothers celebrated this excellence by launching a GlenAllachie Single Malt in the prized Cask Edition series. More recently, since 2017, Billy Walker, Trisha Savage, and Graham Stevenson, three recognized industry experts, joined forces to acquire the distillery and establish The GlenAllachie Distillers Company Limited, bringing over a century of exceptional expertise.
In 2018, the distillery innovated by venturing for the first time into the production of peated whiskies, a rarity in Speyside. The exclusive Meikle Tòir collection was launched in 2023, the result of a carefully orchestrated maturation over 5 years in rigorously selected casks, offering unique depth and complexity.
The Turbo stands out for its origin at the heart of the distillate, where the concentration of phenols is maximal. This whisky is an exceptional blend combining the richness of 3 American virgin oak casks and the aromatic depth of 5 Oloroso sherry casks, revealing a profile both powerful and refined, ideal for lovers of pronounced peat.
