The Pagès Distillery, located in the heart of Puy-en-Velay in Auvergne, has been upholding a family tradition of excellence since 1859. Founded by Joseph Rumillet-Charretier, a renowned arborist and apothecary, it is famous for its Velay Verbena Liqueur, a true treasure of the French terroir. Made according to an exclusive ancestral recipe, this liqueur combines local organic lemon verbena with a subtle blend of aromatic plants, natural spices, and carefully selected herbs. The verbena is carefully cultivated directly on the estate, planted each June, harvested just before the frosts, then slowly dried before being hand-stripped to preserve all its unique aromatic qualities. After precise maceration and rigorous distillation, the liqueur is aged for a minimum of 12 months in oak barrels, giving it unparalleled richness and smoothness.
