Les Jardins de Pagès - Organic Verbena Liqueur - 30%

The Pagès Distillery is located in Le Puy-en-Velay in Auvergne . It was founded in 1859 by Joseph Rumillet-Charretier, an arborist and apothecary. The famous Verveine du Velay liqueur is made according to an ancestral recipe combining local verbena with a mixture of plants, spices and herbs. Lemon verbena is grown by the distillery on its own site. It is planted in June and harvested before the frosts then dried before being stripped by hand. After maceration and distillation, the liquor is aged for a minimum of 12 months in oak barrels. It can be consumed plain, on ice or in cocktails.
