The prestigious Mezcal brand El Jolgorio is proudly crafted by Casa Cortés, in the heart of Oaxaca, Mexico. With an ancestral tradition, the Cortés family has been producing mezcal since 1840, with authentic know-how passed down from generation to generation. Today, the fifth generation is fully involved at every stage, from planting the agaves to artisanal distillation. This exceptional mezcal is made from Barril maguey, belonging to the rare and noble variety of Karwinskii agave. The Barril agave, a robust and imposing plant, takes up to 12 years to reach full maturity, which gives the mezcal a unique aromatic complexity and exceptional richness on the palate.
