Edition Spirits is a renowned independent bottling company, founded by brothers Scott and Andrew Laing in Glasgow. Proud heirs of Stewart Laing, director at Hunter Laing and former founder of Douglas Laing, they actively participate in the family tradition. Since joining Hunter Laing in 2013, after splitting from Douglas Laing, Edition Spirits has become a key branch of Hunter Laing, enriching its portfolio with the prestigious First Editions series. Although particularly renowned for their Blended and Single Malt whiskies, they have distinguished themselves through their rare and precious selection of aged rums, notably from Guyana, Jamaica, and other Caribbean regions.
In the 17th and 18th centuries, island inhabitants affectionately called their local distillates "Kill Devil." While many of these old superstitions have now disappeared, the Caribbean region remains an essential land for the production of exceptional exotic rums. The Kill Devil series celebrates the incomparable quality and remarkable diversity of Caribbean and international rums. Each Single Cask is rigorously selected, carefully imported to Scotland, then hand-bottled using artisanal methods, thus guaranteeing a unique and authentic experience.
This exceptional rum was distilled in July 2006 at the iconic Foursquare distillery, located in Barbados. Aged for 15 years under optimal conditions, it also stands out for its limited release, with only 266 bottles put into circulation, making each bottle a rare and precious collector's item.
