SAMAROLI - Fidji Pacific Oblivion - Single Cask No. 50 - Vintage 2009 - 2021 Edition limited to 306 copies - 45% ABV
Born in Bologna, Italy, Silvano Samaroli, the iconic founder of the house, began his activity in 1968 by selecting and bottling some of the most prestigious whiskies in the world. From the start, he stood out as an independent pioneer, the only non-British bottler at that time. In the 1990s, he expanded his expertise by including rum in his exclusive selection: he traveled the globe in search of the most renowned distilleries, bringing the casks back to Scotland where the temperate climate allows for slower and more harmonious aging. In 2008, Antonio Bleve, a long-time collaborator sharing the same passion and philosophy, took over the management of the House. Alongside a network of rum and whisky experts, Antonio continues exploring exceptional casks, relying on the rich historical heritage and new international connections of the house. Samaroli also conducts advanced research on blending, subtly marrying aged spirits with the power of younger vintages, thus recreating the true soul of whisky. A distinctive technique involves maturing whiskies and rums in new casks, offering an unparalleled aromatic depth compared to traditional Single Malts. Each Samaroli bottle embodies exclusivity, precisely mentioning the year of cask filling, the year of bottling, the exact number of copies produced, as well as the unique individual bottle number.
This exceptional rum, distilled in 2009 in the Fiji Islands, benefits from meticulous aging in Scotland orchestrated by Samaroli, before being bottled in 2021. It is a rare and precious edition, limited to only 306 numbered bottles, making this Single Cask a sought-after treasure for demanding enthusiasts and collectors.
