GLENFARCLAS - 105 - Cask Strength - 60%
The Glenfarclas distillery, iconic of the Speyside region in Scotland, is located in Ballindalloch, at the heart of an area renowned for its exceptional whiskies. Founded before 1791, it officially obtained its license in 1836 under the visionary leadership of Robert Hay. On June 8, 1865, the distillery was acquired by John Grant and remains today a family-run business proudly managed by his descendants, continuing a century-old tradition. In 2007, Glenfarclas innovated with the release of The Family Casks, a precious collection of 43 Single Cask bottlings, ranging from one bottle per year from 1952 to 1994, now extended up to 2001. However, the casks from 1952 and 1953 are now sold out, making these vintages even rarer and more sought after.
105 represents Glenfarclas's iconic cask strength version, bottled at a powerful 60%. This whisky stands out for its intense aromatic complexity and rapid development on the palate, revealing rich spicy notes subtly harmonized with delicate hints of oak and sherry fruits, conferring remarkable depth and elegance.
Non-peated whisky, offering a pure expression of the terroir and traditional craftsmanship.
