GLENFARCLAS - 15 years - 46%
The Glenfarclas distillery is located in Ballindalloch, in the heart of the prestigious Speyside region in Scotland, renowned for its exceptional whiskies. Founded well before 1791, it officially obtained its license in 1836 under the direction of Robert Hay. On June 8, 1865, the distillery was acquired by John Grant and remains to this day a true family business, owned and managed by his descendants with passion and traditional know-how. In 2007, Glenfarclas launched the famous The Family Casks collection, composed of 43 Single Cask bottlings, with an unparalleled rarity: one cask per year from 1952 to 1994. This prestigious collection now extends up to 2001, despite the depletion of stocks from the 1952 and 1953 casks, bearing witness to the rich and continuous history of the house.
Glenfarclas 15 years is an exceptional whisky, fully matured in carefully selected sherry casks. It is bottled at 46%, an alcohol level chosen in homage to the preference of George Grant's grandfather, thus ensuring optimal aromatic richness. This whisky offers a broad and balanced tasting experience, delicately combining the smooth sweetness of sherry with subtle malty notes, for a refined and harmonious palate.
