Isle of Raasay Scottish Gin is the very first spirit legally produced on Raasay, an island rooted in an ancestral tradition of illicit distillation dating back several centuries. This unique gin is made from a triple-distilled alcohol, harmoniously combined with a refined blend of 9 carefully selected botanical plants: wild juniper from Raasay, sweet orange and lemon zest, rhubarb root, angelica root, coriander seeds, licorice root, iris root, and cubeb pepper. The expertise of the local botanist, Dr. Stephen Bungard, greatly contributed to the manual selection of the best juniper berries, thus giving the gin a unique character and affirmed authenticity. The creation and design of this Gin are directly inspired by the rich exceptional geological diversity of Raasay, the singular purity of its water source, the wild beauty of its shores, as well as the modernity and technical precision of the ultra-modern distillery.
