NEISSON - Tatanka Collection - Old Rum - Le Corsaire - Vintage 2011 - 46%
Tatanka is a recognized artisanal company from Martinique, specialized in creating hand-painted artworks on various supports. Since 1996, a passionate Martinican artist has been designing these works directly on glass, adopting a unique naive art style that brings each bottle to life. These creations authentically depict beautiful life scenes at the heart of the Neisson distillery, paying tribute to the know-how, passion, and meticulous work of the men and women involved in crafting Neisson rums. Each special edition offers an exclusive collection of three different illustrations, making each bottle as unique as a true work of art.
The Neisson Distillery, located in the heart of Carbet in Martinique, has a rich heritage since its founding in 1932 by the Neisson brothers. Jean Neisson, a trained chemical engineer, dedicated his life to perfecting traditional distillation methods, thus offering exceptional agricultural rums. Today, his descendants Claudine and her son Grégory continue this family tradition of excellence. A pioneer in organic farming since 2013, the Neisson distillery launched in 2016 its first organic rum labeled AOC Martinique, a revolution now extended to all its more than 40 hectares of farmland. Thanks to thorough research, Neisson exclusively uses indigenous yeasts rigorously selected from the sugarcane on the estate, ensuring a natural and distinctive fermentation. Responsible cultivation, optimized irrigation to preserve water resources, as well as efficient effluent treatment, are commitments that contribute to producing agricultural rums of superior quality, in perfect harmony with the distillery's natural ecosystem.
This exceptional old rum from the 2011 vintage is named "Le Corsaire", a symbol of adventure and boldness, reflecting Neisson rums that combine tradition and innovation.
