Elixir Distillers, a key reference in the world of spirits, was originally founded under the name Speciality Drinks in 1999 by the visionary brothers Sukhinder and Raj Singh, who also created the renowned online sales site Whisky Exchange the same year. In 2017, the company adopted the name Elixir Distillers, asserting its position as an expert in the distribution and selection of exceptional whiskies. The prestigious range 'The Single Malts of Scotland', launched in 2005, offers a rigorous selection of Single Malt whiskies from the six major Scottish regions. Each edition is carefully chosen from the highest quality casks that best represent the unique character of the terroir, guaranteeing products of exceptional finesse and authenticity. Only casks that have reached a superior level of quality and aromatic complexity are bottled under this signature of excellence.
The Imperial distillery, a historic jewel located in Carron in the famous Speyside region, produced whiskies of rare elegance between 1897 and 1998, although it experienced sporadic interruptions throughout its existence. Permanently closed in 1998 and demolished in 2013, it was replaced by the Dalmunach distillery, built on the same site in 2015, thus continuing the local distilling tradition. This exceptional edition was distilled on October 2, 1998, and aged in a single cask (#103328) for a long maturation of 21 years, before being bottled on March 26, 2020. A very limited total of only 104 bottles was produced, making this whisky a true rarity for collectors and discerning enthusiasts.
