The renowned Caroni Distillery was founded in 1918 in the iconic state of Trinidad & Tobago. This state-owned distillery had its own sugar mill, ensuring an optimal supply of raw materials thanks to exceptional locally grown sugarcane. Equipped with various apparatus such as column and pot stills, this legendary distillery long maintained a unique mystery and aura. Indeed, very few of its rums were marketed under its own label, which enhances the rarity and prestige of its productions. Caroni spirits are distinguished by a unique aromatic profile, blending captivating notes of hydrocarbons, mild spices, and a gourmand touch of honey. However, following the major crisis in the sugar industry, the government decided to close the distillery in 2002, further increasing the rarity and mythical character of these exceptional rums with atypical profiles sought after by connoisseurs worldwide.

Roopnarine Toolsie, an iconic figure who worked for 6 years within the distillery, supervised this very limited batch composed of four casks. Fully aged in Trinidad and Tobago, this exceptional vintage is released in only 741 bottles, making it a rare and precious piece for collectors and discerning enthusiasts.
