Ornabrak is an exceptional Single Malt Gin, handcrafted in Ireland with a unique traditional expertise. Its story begins in the extremely fertile soils and the temperate oceanic climate of South Ireland, a region globally renowned for producing brewing barley of unparalleled quality. The term "Single Malt" refers to a spirit distilled exclusively in a single distillery, using pot still distillation, from a rigorously selected malted barley mash. This brewing barley, 100% GMO-free, comes from contracted producers mainly located in the southeast of Ireland. It is malted in Cork through a meticulous process of soaking, germination, and drying, allowing the release of necessary enzymes while preserving the natural and aromatic qualities of the grain. Once malted, the barley is ground, crushed, fermented, then distilled four times in traditional copper pot stills located in West Cork, ensuring purity and finesse in the gin.
This unique Gin is enhanced by a blend of five carefully selected botanicals to create a highly refined aromatic bouquet: the essential juniper berries from Macedonia, the precious angelica root originating from Poland and Belgium, the fresh lemon verbena from Morocco and Paraguay, the resinous notes of pine needles (Douglas fir) gathered in West Cork, as well as the bright zest of lemon peels harvested in Spain, Argentina, and the United States.
