Chalong Bay is ideally located on the spectacular southeast coast of Phuket, right in the heart of Thailand. The name Chalong, meaning "celebration" in Thai, perfectly embodies the authentic spirit of Chalong Bay, where ancestral traditions of artisanal distillation are preserved. This region celebrates a rich heritage blending craftsmanship, culture, and the passion of men and women dedicated to creating exceptional natural rums. The rums from this house are crafted with artisanal expertise, favoring sustainable and environmentally respectful production, skillfully combining the traditional French art of distillation with the unique richness of Thai sugarcane. For this, the distillery uses a traditional copper still imported from France, following a distillation process centuries old that guarantees quality and authenticity. After rigorous selection, a single indigenous variety of sugarcane is chosen, recognized for its superior quality, cultivated without any chemical fertilizers, in close collaboration with local farmers who hand-harvest the cane, thus preserving the original purity of this exceptional natural product.
