SHERINGHAM - Kazuki Gin - 43%
The Sheringham Distillery is proudly located on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, in the heart of Canada. Founded in 2015 by enthusiasts Jason and Alayne MacIsaac, this craft distillery combines tradition and innovation. Before becoming master distiller, Jason established himself as a chef awarded prestigious local and international distinctions. Alayne, with solid experience in sales and marketing in Vancouver, chose to return to her native island to become an entrepreneur and co-owner. Thanks to Jason's culinary expertise, the distillery places great importance on local producers, thus enhancing the quality and freshness of the ingredients used to create exceptional spirits. Environmentally conscious, Sheringham favors an eco-responsible approach: their packaging boxes are reused for distribution, while all materials are recycled, reused, or composted in a sustainable logic.
Kazuki Gin is the result of a shared passion for botanical richness and ancestral gin-making techniques, subtly blending Eastern and Western influences. Inspired by her stay in Asia, Alayne fell under the charm of delicate cherry blossoms, while Jason, as a professional chef, developed a marked interest in Yuzu, this unique Japanese citrus. The name "Kazu" means "Harmony" in Japanese, perfectly illustrating the balance between these two cultures, while "Ki" translates as "radiance", a tribute to the bright and intense flavors of the carefully selected plants. This exceptional gin is made from their house vodka, infused with local plants, including flowers from the Westholme Tea Farm in the Cowichan Valley, as well as iconic Japanese ingredients such as cherry blossoms and green tea, offering a refined and original tasting experience.
