Elixir Distillers was founded as Speciality Drinks in 1999 by the visionary brothers Sukhinder and Raj Singh, who also launched the essential online sales platform Whisky Exchange the same year. In 2017, the company adopted the official name Elixir Distillers to better reflect its expertise. Elements of Islay is a prestigious range of Single Malt whiskies from Islay, passionately crafted by Elixir Distillers since 2008.

Each whisky in the collection is rigorously selected and then bottled at cask strength, without any chill filtration or added coloring, and without age statement to preserve its authenticity. The whiskies are offered as single cask or in small series of 5 to 20 casks from a single distillery, thus providing a faithful and unique expression of the distinctive and emblematic aromatic profile of Islay maltings. The name given to each edition corresponds to a stylized version of the chemical symbol related to the distillery, while successive versions are numbered.

Bn8 corresponds to the eighth bottling dedicated to the Bunnahabhain distillery. It is a blend of peated casks distilled between 2013 and 2015 and aged for 5 to 7 years in a subtle marriage of American oak and old Sherry hogsheads, giving the whisky exceptional complexity and richness.
