RHUM BALLY - Art Deco - Pyramid - 42%
The house of J. Bally, founded by Jacques Bally in Martinique, has established itself as an essential reference for exceptional agricole rum. A pioneer, Jacques Bally innovated by adopting production methods inspired by the great French eaux-de-vie. He chose to distill exclusively fresh sugarcane juice, thus preserving all the authenticity and aromatic richness of the Martinican terroir. A visionary, he decided as early as 1917 to age his rums in oak barrels to reveal their complexity and elegance. It was in 1924 that the famous pyramidal bottle was born, which today has become the iconic emblem of the brand and is sought after by collectors worldwide. Although the original distillery closed its doors in 1989, the production of Bally rums continues with all the historic expertise at the Distillerie du Simon, thus perpetuating the artisanal excellence of the house.
The limited edition Art Deco from Bally is a remarkable blend of three rare vintage rums: the 2003 vintage aged for 15 years in French oak barrels, the 2007 vintage aged 12 years in American oak barrels, and the prestigious 1998 vintage aged 18 years in French oak barrels. This exceptional cuvée reveals a complex and refined aromatic palette, a signature of Bally’s know-how, with intense notes of exotic fruits, delicate spices, and precious woods.
