RHUM NEISSON - Artisanal Amber Rum - Expertly Aged in Wood - 1 Liter - 50% Vol.
The Neisson house, emblematic of the Martinican agricultural rum tradition, was founded in 1931 during the interwar period by brothers Adrien and Hildebert Pamphile, nicknamed Jean Neisson. They acquired the La Thieulbert estate, a 20-hectare domain located in the northwest of Martinique, near Saint-Pierre, at the foot of the majestic Montagne Pelée. Adrien, the elder, initiated the construction of an artisanal distillery on site, while Jean, trained in Paris, developed an import-export company to market these exceptional rums in mainland France. Passionate about innovation and quality, Jean Neisson installed a Savalle column modified according to his precise instructions, thus optimizing the finesse and purity of Neisson rums.
Even today, the family distillery remains in the hands of the Neisson descendants, symbolizing one of the last independent productions of agricultural rum on the island. The estate continues a 100% local production, sourcing exclusively from its own 40 hectares of sugarcane, guaranteeing impeccable quality and traceability.
This amber agricultural rum aged in wood by Neisson benefits from an 18-month maturation in carefully selected oak casks, which give it a radiant golden color and a rich, complex, and generous aromatic palette. Subtle notes of vanilla, precious wood, and mild spices can be found, highlighting the traditional know-how and authenticity of this exceptional spirit.
