Founded during the interwar period in 1931, the Neisson distillery embodies Martinican excellence thanks to the innovative vision of the brothers Adrien and Hildebert Pamphile, known as Jean Neisson. They acquired the La Thieulbert estate, a 20-hectare domain located in the heart of the northwest of the island, near Saint-Pierre and at the majestic foot of Montagne Pelée. Adrien launched artisanal rum production while Jean, a graduate from Paris, created an import-export company to promote these liquid treasures in the French capital. Driven by a deep passion for distillation, Jean designed a custom Savalle column, modified according to his rigorous specifications, to optimize the quality and finesse of Neisson rums.
Even today, Clos des Spiritueux is proud to continue this unique family tradition, being one of the last independent family distilleries in Martinique. The estate works exclusively with cane grown on its own 40 hectares, thus guaranteeing perfect traceability and an exceptional terroir for every drop distilled.<\/p>\n
