The Neisson house was founded during the interwar period, in 1931, when brothers Adrien and Hildebert Pamphile, nicknamed Jean Neisson, acquired the La Thieulbert estate, initially composed of 20 hectares of sugarcane. Strategically located in the northwest of Martinique, near Saint-Pierre and at the majestic foot of Mount Pelée, this property quickly became the cradle of a unique tradition. Adrien, the elder, set up a small distillery, while his younger brother, Jean, completed his studies in Paris. While Adrien dedicated himself to producing exceptional rums in Martinique, Jean founded an import-export company to market these prestigious rums in the French capital. Driven by a deep passion for the art of distillation, Jean invested his knowledge to perfect production: he had a Savalle column modified according to his own instructions, thus revolutionizing the quality of Neisson rums.
Today, the family distillery proudly remains in the hands of the Neisson family, one of the last authentic Martinican distilleries. The estate continues the tradition by exclusively cultivating sugarcane on its own 40 hectares, thus guaranteeing a product of unmatched quality and authenticity.
The Sacha cuvée represents an ultra-limited edition, with only 92 copies available in Europe! This unique cask strength rum, vintage 2003, comes from a single ex-Bourbon barrel aged for 14 years, chosen as the centerpiece of this exceptional vintage. This cuvée pays tribute to the birth of Sacha, the owners' son, a family and symbolic event inscribed in every drop. The wooden box, of rare elegance, contains the bottle as well as a panel adorned with a genuine hand-painted slate painting, an artistic work signed by the famous French artist Philippe Baudelocque. A perfect alliance between art, history, and rum craftsmanship.
