Since the 17th century, Chartreuse has been produced by the Carthusian Fathers, guardians of a unique know-how and a jealously preserved recipe. Only two monks know the secret formula which combines more than 130 plants, flowers, roots and spices . Among the most prestigious expressions, the VEP (Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé) designation designates liqueurs aged for many years in oak barrels, until they achieve a rare complexity and depth.
The Chartreuse VEP Jaune - Version 2025 , produced in very small batches, is an exceptional version that scrupulously respects the ancestral methods of the house. Milder than the Chartreuse Verte but just as refined, it is distinguished by a remarkable aromatic richness and elegance. This 2025 vintage, offered in a large 1 liter format, embodies the perfect balance between intensity, length and finesse, the fruit of patient aging in the Chartreux cellars.
Its brilliant golden color immediately reveals the generosity of this liqueur. The nose expresses itself with great complexity: delicate honey, sweet spices, dried flowers, candied fruits and a subtle note of saffron. On the palate, the ample and silky texture deploys a unique aromatic richness, mixing honeyed sweetness, herbaceous freshness and a fine touch of licorice. The finish, of exceptional length, combines freshness, elegance and spicy intensity, lastingly marking the palate with the inimitable signature of Chartreuse .
