Godo Shusei - La Yuzu - Yuzu liqueur - 15%
Godo Shusei is a Japanese house renowned for its expertise in the production of traditional alcoholic beverages , such as shōchū, sake, as well as various fruit liqueurs and ready-to-drink drinks. Founded in 1924 following the merger of four shōchū distilleries based in Hokkaido, its origins date back to 1900 with the creation of Nippon Shusei Seizō. In 1963, its headquarters were relocated to Tokyo. Today, Godo Shusei is an integral part of the Oenon Holdings group, a major player in the Japanese beverage industry. The company has two main production sites: one in Asahikawa , on the island of Hokkaido, specializing in the production of shōchū (accounting for approximately 70% of production), as well as small quantities of sake and neutral spirits; the other in Matsudo , in Chiba Prefecture, near Tokyo, where sake, shōchū, Japanese liqueurs and mirin (a sweet rice-based condiment) are produced.
This yuzu liqueur is made by blending fresh yuzu juice with syrup and a neutral alcohol. It's ideal for reinventing classic cocktails like the Gin Sour, Margarita, or Negroni, giving them a creative and refreshing twist.
" On the nose, subtle aromas of candied yuzu zest are revealed, while on the palate, the liqueur reveals a beautiful liveliness, combining lemony freshness and silky sweetness. It is particularly appreciated as a white Yuzu Negroni or as a yuzu Spritz, perfect for a light, summery aperitif with Japanese accents."
