Teeling Distillery is a leading Irish whiskey distillery located in the heart of Dublin, Ireland. Founded in 2015 by the prestigious Teeling Whiskey Company, this distillery embodies innovation and family tradition. It was created by brothers Jack and Stephen Teeling, heirs to a long line of master distillers, their father John Teeling having founded the famous Cooley distillery in 1987. Jack and Stephen gained valuable expertise working alongside their father at Cooley. After the sale of Cooley to Beam Inc. (now Beam Suntory) in 2011, Jack Teeling, then CEO, left the company while Stephen stayed for a short period. During this transaction, the Teeling brothers negotiated the acquisition of 16,000 barrels of already aged whiskey. Thanks to these precious stocks, Jack Teeling launched the Teeling Whiskey brand in 2012, soon joined by Stephen, thus renewing the family’s renown in the Irish whiskey world.
Teeling Single Grain stands out for its innovative process and exceptional quality. This single grain whiskey is made from a unique mash bill composed of 95% corn and 5% malted barley. It is distilled in column stills, ensuring optimal purification. To perfect its character, this whiskey is exclusively aged in barrels that previously held California Cabernet Sauvignon, imparting rich and intense aromas, blending red fruits, spices, and elegant woody notes. The finesse and complexity of this aging in premium wine casks make it a sought-after product by enthusiasts and connoisseurs.
