Cognac GROSPERRIN - Bons Bois - 25 years - Lot 1071 - 46.5%
The Maison Grosperrin was founded by Jean Grosperrin, who arrived in Cognac in 1991 after working various jobs such as farm laborer, shepherd, and sheep shearer during the summer. In 1992, he became a countryside broker, traveling the region in search of the rarest and most exceptional cognac lots. In 1999, Jean Grosperrin took a decisive turn by purchasing several barrels of old cognacs, which, combined with his three traditional stills, gave birth to the prestigious history of Grosperrin Cognacs. In 2004, his son Guilhem took over the reins. He significantly enriched the cellars by building precious stocks of rare Cognacs, rigorously selecting exceptional parcels, and establishing exclusive contracts with passionate winegrowers. In 2012, he expanded his influence by developing a strong network of foreign importers, thus attracting enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and collectors worldwide.
This Bons Bois 25-year-old Cognac of remarkable quality comes from a multi-crop winegrower located in the picturesque Chalais region. The family tradition dates back to the early 20th century, when the grandfather started vine cultivation, a precious activity inherited and continued by his father, then by himself. Unfortunately, this experienced winemaker had to cease operations in 2003 due to a severe viticultural crisis and the absence of a successor, thus anchoring this cognac in the authentic and timeless history of the region.
