The GlenAllachie is an iconic distillery located in Aberlour, in the heart of the prestigious Speyside region in Scotland, worldwide renowned for the richness and finesse of its single malt whiskies. Founded in 1967, the distillery began production in February 1968 with an impressive capacity of nearly three million liters of alcohol per year. After a period of interruption in 1985, Campbell Distillers, which became part of Pernod Ricard, purchased the site and restarted production in 1987, marking a continuous 29-year period of manufacturing under the prestigious nickname "The Home of Clan Campbell Whisky." In 2005, the Chivas Brothers house recognized the unique potential of The GlenAllachie by launching a single malt whisky within the Cask Edition series. More recently, in 2017, the trio Billy Walker, Trisha Savage, and Graham Stevenson joined forces to take over the distillery and found The GlenAllachie Distillers Company Limited, bringing a combined expertise of over 100 years in the industry and a deep commitment to quality and innovation.
This exceptional whisky was distilled on March 12, 2010 and comes from a single cask numbered 4601, which previously contained prestigious wine from Napa Valley, California.
