The Loch Lomond Distillery is ideally located in Alexandria, on the shores of the famous Loch Lomond, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Founded in 1966 through a collaboration between Duncan Thomas, an American owner of Littlemill (now defunct), and Barton Brands, a Chicago-based company, this distillery embodies the perfect blend of innovation and tradition in the world of Scottish whisky. After various challenges, including a closure in 1984 due to the global whisky crisis, it was taken over by Inver House and then Glen Catrine Bonded Warehouse Ltd, which helped make Loch Lomond the most versatile and innovative distillery in Scotland. Since 2014, it has been an integral part of the Loch Lomond Group. Loch Lomond whisky enjoys worldwide renown; it is notably the whisky consumed by Captain Haddock in the famous Tintin comics, a true mark of character and authenticity.
Loch Lomond Inchmoan is an exceptional single malt aged for 12 years in first-fill charred Bourbon barrels as well as second-fill Bourbon barrels. This double maturation gives the whisky a unique balance, combining richness and depth. Its aromatic palette reveals an intense peated profile and a spicy finish, which will appeal to lovers of powerful and refined whiskies.
