Loch Lomond - Inchmurrin - 12 years - 2022 Edition - 46%
The Loch Lomond Distillery is ideally located in Alexandria, in the heart of the iconic Scottish Highlands, near the majestic Loch Lomond. Founded in 1966 through a partnership between Duncan Thomas, an American owner of the legendary (now defunct) Littlemill distillery, and Barton Brands, a Chicago-based company, it embodies a rich history of Scottish whisky. In 1971, Barton Brands took full control of the distillery, before a temporary closure in 1984, a direct consequence of the severe crisis that hit the whisky industry. Purchased in 1985 by Inver House, then sold in 1986 to Glen Catrine Bonded Warehouse Ltd, the Loch Lomond distillery has established itself as one of the most innovative and flexible in Scotland. Since 2014, it has been part of the prestigious Loch Lomond Group. It is worth noting that Loch Lomond whisky is also famous for being Captain Haddock's favorite drink in the famous Tintin comic series, which attests to its international reputation and exceptional quality.
Loch Lomond Inchmurrin is a single malt whisky aged for 12 years in a subtle blend of three types of American oak casks: Bourbon barrels, refill barrels, and charred barrels. This unique maturation gives the whisky a fruity, rich, and complex profile, perfectly balancing sweetness and aromatic character. Ideal for lovers of unpeated whiskies seeking authenticity and finesse in every sip.
