Cognac Delamain - Pléiade Malaville - 45%
Cognac Delamain is proudly established in Jarnac, in the heart of the prestigious Grande Champagne region within the Cognac area. Founded in 1759 by James Delamain, a passionate Irish merchant, the House has traversed centuries with exceptional expertise. In 1824, his grandson Henri Delamain officially founded the Delamain House. Since then, each generation has infused a unique spirit into its cognacs, combining tradition and open-mindedness. Indeed, successive owners were not limited to their role as cellar masters; they were also archaeologists, ornithologists, historians, writers, humanists, and botanists. This rare combination of passion for natural sciences and humanities has allowed Cognac Delamain to produce eaux-de-vie of incomparable quality and uniqueness. For over 20 years, the Bollinger family, globally recognized for their expertise in spirits, has overseen the destiny of the DELAMAIN house, ensuring faithful transmission of original values. As for the precious eaux-de-vie, they are carefully supervised by Dominique Touteau, the Cellar Master, guarantor of the finesse and authenticity of each batch.
Pléiade exclusively gathers the best Cognacs from the Delamain House. Each Cognac in the collection is drawn from a single harvest, a single vineyard, and aged in a single barrel, meticulously selected. Slow distillation on fine lees guarantees exceptional purity, without the use of sweeteners or colorants, to offer the consumer an intense and authentic expression of the terroir. Produced in limited series, the Pléiade range is available in three distinct collections, classified by age, to meet the expectations of the most demanding enthusiasts.
This exclusive edition is part of the Révélation collection. This Grande Champagne Cognac comes from the prestigious La Rambaudie vineyard, located in the commune of Malaville. It was aged in a unique barrel referenced (#707-07), which allowed the bottling of only 455 bottles. The distillation was carried out on fine lees, offering exceptional aromatic richness. The aging took place in the historic cellar of the Maison du Prieur, in a 350-liter red oak barrel, giving the Cognac its perfect balance and great finesse. This rare cuvée was bottled in April 2022, guaranteeing incomparable freshness and quality.
