MASAM - Silvano Samaroli Collection - Loch Lomond 25 years - Vintage 1996 - Single Cask - Bottled in 2021 - 55%
Clos des Spiritueux honors here the excellence of the Masam collection, named after Maryse Samaroli, wife of the legendary Silvano Samaroli. Originally from Bologna, Italy, Silvano Samaroli, visionary founder of this prestigious house, began his journey in 1968 by selecting and bottling some of the most refined whiskies in the world. A pioneer in his field, he was the very first independent bottler outside the UK. In the 1990s, his passion extended to rum: he sourced the best casks from exceptional distilleries, importing them to Scotland to benefit from slow and optimal aging thanks to the ideal climate of the Highlands. In 2008, Antonio Bleve, a loyal companion and heir to Silvano's values, took over the reins of the house. Surrounded by a community expert in whiskies and rums, he continues the quest for rare and exclusive casks, combining historic relationships and new discoveries.
At Clos des Spiritueux, the pursuit of innovation never stops: the Samaroli house excels in the art of blending by mixing the finesse of aged spirits with the vibrant power of younger vintages. This unique method, including the maturation of whiskies and rums in new casks, gives the elixirs an unparalleled aromatic depth, far surpassing traditional Single Malts. Each bottle is thus a work of exception, precisely mentioning the year of cask filling, bottling year, number of bottles produced, and the individual number guaranteeing its exclusivity.
This exceptional vintage comes from the Loch Lomond Distillery, nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Distilled in 1996, this exceptional whisky aged patiently for 25 years before being bottled in 2021, offering remarkable richness and aromatic complexity, characteristic of a long maturation in a single cask.
