The prestigious brand J. Bally, founded by Jacques Bally in Martinique, stands out for its unique expertise inspired by traditional French distillation techniques of eaux-de-vie. Bally produces its rums from fresh sugarcane juice distilled with great precision to achieve a refined and authentic range. It was in 1917 that Jacques Bally innovated by deciding to age his rums in oak barrels, thus giving the rum an unparalleled aromatic complexity. In 1924, the house created the iconic packaging in triangular bottles, which have become a distinctive symbol recognized by connoisseurs of exceptional spirits. The original distillery, closed in 1989, was transferred to the prestigious Distillerie du Simon, where Bally rum continues to be produced with the same quality standards.
