PENDERYN - 2007 Second Fill Bourbon - Single Cask - French Connections - 60.8%

The Penderyn Distillery is nestled at the southern end of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, in the heart of Wales. Distillation in Wales, long forgotten, was revived in the 1990s thanks to a group of passionate friends who created the first Welsh whisky distillery in over a century. Located in the charming historic village of Penderyn, the distillery benefits from a supply of pure, fresh natural spring water, a key element for producing exceptional whisky. Their whisky was officially launched on Saint David's Day in 2004, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Charles, highlighting its prestige and cultural significance.

This unique expression was carefully selected by La Maison du Whisky as part of the prestigious French Connections range, which highlights exclusive partnerships between British distilleries and French distributors. This exceptional whisky was distilled in 2007 and then patiently aged in a Second Fill Bourbon Single Cask, giving it richness, aromatic complexity, and a beautiful intensity.
