The Penderyn Distillery is nestled at the southern end of the Brecon Beacons National Park, in the heart of Wales. Once a lost art, distillation in Wales was revived in the late 1990s by a group of passionate friends who launched the first Welsh whisky distillery in over a century. Located in the picturesque historic village of Penderyn, the distillery benefits from a rare and precious resource: exceptionally fresh natural spring water, ideal for producing an exceptional whisky. The official launch of their whisky, Penderyn Rich Oak, took place on St. David's Day 2004, honored by the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Charles, highlighting the cultural importance and remarkable quality of this unique spirit.

Penderyn Gold Rich Oak is a whisky finely aged in premium American Bourbon barrels, before being enhanced by maturation in STR wine casks ("Shaved, Toasted and Recharred"), an innovative method that imparts complex, rich aromas and remarkable depth to the organoleptic profile of this whisky.
