MARS - Single Malt - Komagatake Yakushima Aging - Bottled in 2020 - 53%<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Shinshu Distillery<\/strong> is an integral part of the Hombo Shuzo<\/strong> group (also known as Hombo Brewing Co.), renowned for its unique expertise in whisky production. The whisky from this distillery is marketed under the prestigious Mars Whisky<\/strong> brand. Founded in 1872 by Honbu Matsusa, Hombo Shuzo is located at 800 meters altitude in the picturesque village of Miyata<\/strong>, on the Japanese island of Kyushu<\/strong>. In 1949, the company obtained a license to produce whisky at the Kagoshima distillery before centralizing its manufacturing activities at the Shinshu distillery. Despite a temporary pause in 1992 due to low demand, production gradually resumed in 2012 to regain momentum. The jewel of this distillery remains the Komagatake<\/strong>, a Single Malt named in honor of the most majestic surrounding mountain. Furthermore, the Mars Maltage Cosmo<\/strong> launched in July 2015 celebrates the distillery's exceptional geographical position and evokes the beauty of the night sky visible from Mount Komagatake.<\/p>\n

This exclusive 2020<\/strong> edition of Mars Komagatake<\/strong> was carefully distilled at the Shinshu distillery before benefiting from a unique aging process in the maturation cellars of Yakushima, an island famous for its ideal climate that imparts exceptional aromas and incomparable depth to the whisky.<\/p>\n
