The Arran Malt is a prestigious Single Malt distillery located on the enchanting Isle of Arran, on the west coast of Scotland, world-renowned for its whiskies of exceptional quality. This artisanal distillery offers a wide range of whiskies with rich and varied expressions, featuring unique finishes that reflect the Scottish terroir. Founded in 1995, the distillery is situated in the north of the island at Lochranza, near the pure and crystalline natural water source of Loch na Davie, essential to the whisky's quality. Initially, the grist (the malted barley grist mixed with hot water for mashing) was purchased, but today, an integrated mill highlights its commitment to authentic and controlled production. The Arran Malt is known for its fresh and tangy aromatic profile, partly resulting from the meticulous slow distillation in the stills, ensuring finesse and elegance.
The Arran 18 years old is made exclusively from carefully selected malted barley, then patiently aged for 18 years in noble sherry casks, which impart rich notes of dried fruits, nuts, and vanilla, enhancing the complexity and depth of this exceptional whisky.
